Our client is a European multinational firm in the Paper & Pulp trading sector. We are looking for an experienced sales/trading professional with an interest in business development and very good communication skills. This is a position with great professional growth potential in a commercial-oriented company. Strong, multi-lingual, and experienced back office support is provided by the company headquarters so that the job holder can focus on business development.
Since the position is remote, the candidate's location is irrelevant, but they must currently reside in Colombia, as frequent business travel within the country is required.
Trading of paper and pulp products
Visiting mills for sourcing grades
Research and identify new market opportunities in the local market
Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish communication and set up meetings
Crafting business proposals and contracts to draw in more revenue from clients
Negotiating with clients and suppliers to secure the most attractive prices
Managing customer/supplier relationships
Following up on the import/export operations
Analyze sales, marketing, finance, and other reports to gain insights into how to improve performance and maximize growth
Experience in the Paper and Pulp industry
Ability to develop relationships with current and potential clients
Strong communication, B2B sales and presentation skills
Very good command of English (official company language)
Ability to multitask and prioritize projects
Availability to travel within the country for meetings with current and potential clients
